MOONSHINE RUN

- Words and Music by Jeff Brent © 2003

Papa had a still
Up over the hill
With a family to feed, no better way
Than bootlegging whisky with the devil toupée

White lighting thunder, raining sheets of lead
Pa too sick to get outta bed
Ma staying there by his side
I'ze the only one that could make that ride

Moonshine run
                      (Moonshine Run)
Moonshine run
                      (Moonshine Run)
Moonshine run
                      (Got to keep on runnin')
Moonshine run
                      (Moonshine Run)

Crossed the county line
The sheriff right behind
Didn't brake, couldn't swerve
Doing ninety miles an hour 'round Dead Man's Curve

Moonshine run
                      (Moonshine Run)
Moonshine run
                      (Moonshine Run)
Moonshine run
                      (Keep on runnin')
Moonshine run
                      (Got to keep on runnin')
Moonshine run
                      (Keep on runnin')
Moonshine run
