COINS OF STONE

-Words and Music by Jeff Brent

Thought one time maybe somebody's dying
Because I refused them a dime
Eye in my coffee, Don't cry about me
Wasting we wait for a sign

Morning bell screams, Destroying my dreams
I'm warned of another day
Eyes in the subway, Don't look my way
Friday's child swept away

Looking through my pockets
I find these COINS OF STONE
Would rocks buy your love
I can't go on alone

Come home late, Eat about eight
Just like every time
Eye on my TV, Same old movie
War, sex, fights and some crime

Asleep at last, The day goes too fast
Black sky, stars and the moon
My eyes closed shut, Tomorrow's same rut
Dawn always comes too soon
